Annual Banquet - Friday May 22nd with Special Guest Speaker - Greg Ireland
The crescent club year end banquet is scheduled for Friday May 22nd.
Please join us for a night of dinner, drinks, and good spirits with special guest speaker, Greg Ireland.
Greg Ireland is a professional ice hockey coach with over 30 years coaching experience across a number of junior and professional leagues. He is the former Head Coach of our Owen Sound Attack and current Head Coach for the HC Ajoie of the National League based in Switzerland.
Tickets are $30. Seating is limited and tickets are first come first serve. If you are interested in a ticket, please speak to a member of the executive group, or send an email to [email protected] with the number of tickets requested and they will be set aside for you.

Crescent Club Annual Golf Tournament
The Crescent Club Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th, at Legacy Ridge Golf Course. Registration is now open and the cost is $125 per person. This includes 18-holes with a cart and dinner. If you are interested in registering as an individual, or if you would like to register a team. Please complete the contact form below, or email [email protected] with your name, or if registering a team, please provide the names of all team members.
If you are an individual, or business and are interested in sponsoring a hole. Sponsorships begin at $100 per hole and include your business name/logo sign at a hole. If there is interesting in sponsoring, or if you would like additional information, please use the contact form below.
Each year at this event we provide a space for members to sponsor a memorial sign to be placed at the entrance of the course as part of our memorial walk. If there is interest in sponsoring a memorial sign for a former member, please use the contact form below to provide us with the name of the person(s) you wish to sponsor, signs are $50 each.

About the club

The Crescent Athletic Club of Owen Sound, Ontario was envisioned and founded in 1920 by like-minded sportsmen as a viable way to bind interests, commitments and the continuance of minor sports teams in the community. Historically a not-for-profit men's organization with the aim to support local athletic teams. Today the club functions in much the same way it was originally fashioned. A place for members to meet and greet in the club rooms for drinks, camaraderie and some gifted gab. Club banquets and sports events like golf, darts and curling tournaments generate proceeds to help keep the club running and to raise donation funds for minor sports teams in Owen Sound when it is possible to do so.
One time visiting guest speaker; NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dion said: clubs like the CAC are rare or don't exist anymore. He's right, they don't, times have changed. Customs, culture, rules of the road have all changed. A number of generations have come and gone through the club rooms and along with it the golden years it would seem. But this club remains solvent and firmly in tact with plans for continuing well into the future. 2022 was a historic year as the Crescent Athletic Club celebrated 102 years. A rare organization with humble beginnings that has withstood years of ups and downs and the many tests of time. New members are always welcome as membership drives the club and keeps contributions going to our young men and young women's sports teams.
